You can connect from your phone line using a modem. We first must check if your laptop has an integrated modem. Then connect your phone line (RJ-11 connector type) to your laptop.

In order to have access to the internet you must have a phone number from a server and a password. This can be bought from local computer shops. You will be taxed as long as you stay on internet.

To set up a modem connetion:

1. Go to Control Panel -> Network Connections.

2. Choose Create New Connection and click Next.

3. Select Connect to the Internet->Set up connection manually-> Connect using a dial-up modem ->Choose a name -> Choose a phone number ( the one you bought) and write the username and password provided when you bought the account.

4. Click Next and select Add a shortcut to the desktop.

When you want to connect to the Internet you must double-click on this icon and press Dial.
