I have an old router Netgear DG814 and can i use it to expand my ethernet ports and how and is it efficient(100mbps). In my room i have one ethernet cable and want to double or get more ports. I have a wireless router but it is not good for gaming and one computer isn't wireless as the laptop is.

If you use a wireless router the speeds of the available ports will be slower than a cable speed (100mbps). We suggest to use a switch to expand your ports.
