About 2 months ago I could access my email through the aol desktop but now when I click on mail nothing happens I can still access my mail but I have to go through internet explorer. I've also noticed the red circle with the white numbers inside it no longer exists in the green mail logo at the upper left corner nor does the one in aim.

It is possible that your application was damaged or you are not using it as it should.
