Why I am keep getting a pop-up that says simply "update alert, new version available. Would you like to download and install new version?" Does not say who its from and it won't go away.

Our advice is to try to indentify the program that is trying to update itself. It could be the antivirus.
Click OK to download and install the new version. You could see the name of the program that is updating. If you install the updates you should get rid of the pop-up.

If you click "yes" to install, it does nothing. If you click "no", it still does nothing. This is a mystery to me.
