What does it mean when I download something from the internet and it asks me if I want to close dialoge box when download completes? What is the difference between closing it and not closing it?

If you check to close the dialog box after the download completes it will do just what it says - the dialog box with the download details will be closed after the file will be downloaded. If you choose not to close it after the download is finished the dialog box will not be closed automatically and will remain on your screen until you close it manually.
