Why does a website I have not visited appear in my browsing history?

Question Details:

For over a year now, my computer has been showing a website, "project voyeur.com," I believe, that no-one has actually visited. I can prove this because sometimes it will simply appear in the browser's history (mozilla firefox) while I am online. I have norton anti virus and my computer is otherwise virus and adware free. I don't know why this is happening or how to solve it.

Answer:

project voyeur.com is a 18+ website and probably was visited by somebody or you are infected with viruses. Or probably it was open by some website as pop-up.

We suggest to install the latest version of your web browser and scan your computer with another antivirus. You can find a list here.
