When I attempt to close out AOL, sometimes the window opens multiple times over and over and I can't make it stop except by shutting the machine down.

Is it possible that your browser is infected with viruses or is it damaged. We suggest to uninstall the browser and reinstall it again and scan your computer with a good antivirus.
