How can I disable the quicktime browser plugin to be able to download the .mp4 file (instead of launch)?

Question Details:

I get a site that is offering .mp4 files for download. But the quicktime browser plugin before I can load open the file and display it. So I am unable to download. How to work-around this ?

Answer:

Follow this steps:

1. Open QuickTime plaer.

2. Go to Files->Preferences.

3. Select the browser tab and disable Play movies automatically.
