Why is the screen of my laptop suddenly enlarged, so that it's cutting out part of the screen?

That happens because your resolution is too low.

1. Right click on the desktop and select Properties.

2. Go to Settings tab.

3. Choose the screen resolution you want. A higher value than the one you are using now.

If you can't set a higher value it means you need to install a video card driver.
