How does Helpero work

Why I can't defragment my C drive? It sais it is read only and can't be defragmented.

Follow this steps:

1. Open My Computer.

2. Right click on the C drive, choose Properties and then the Security tab.

3. Make sure your username is listed there. If it's not then you should add it, then highlight your username by clicking on it once. Make sure it has full permissions by checking all the boxes in the Allow column. Click on Apply and then OK.

The Security tab will show up on a Home computer when when you restart into Safe Mode only.
