Static electricity results from an unequal (or positive and negative) charge between two objects. This is what creates the annoying spark.

You can minimize this shocks by doing the following actions:

- Use an anti-static spray on your monitor
-Touch the screen gently with an objected which is grounded.
- Increase the humidity in your room. For example by opening a window.
