I ran a spydoctor and it changed a lot of my settings and can't do system restore because I have the above message.

Try this possible solutions:

1. Try to create a System Restore point manually and note of the error message you get. If you don't get one, check if one has been created or not.

2) Make sure that System Restore is enabled.

3) Make sure that you have enough disk space on the drives where System Restore is enabled.

4) Type Services in Start Menu Search Box, press Enter. Be sure that the Volume Shadow Copy Service is running and set on Automatic. If the Status of System Restore Service is not started, Start it. Set it on Automatic if it is not set. Reboot your computer, reconfirm again and now try.
