How do I disable the magnifier?

Question Details:

No, it is not starting with the os (no shortcut in startup folder). It starts up randomly doe to some event or events that I haven't been able to isolate. Once it comes on it takes a restart to kill it. The checkbox in magnifier dialog has no effect, and mag level of 1 has no effect. Os is XP Pro sp2. I want to disable the feature period. Maybe a registry key value would do it?

Answer:

Solution 1:

1. Go to Start and select Control Panel.
2. Select Ease of Access Center.
3. Select "Start Magnifier"
4. Go to File->Exit (Alt+X)

Solution 2:

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Ease of Access.
2. Under the Explore all settings double click on Make the computer easier to see / Optimize visual display.
3. Check the box to TURN OFF THE MAGNIFIER. Deselect the box and select apply to remove the magnifier on start up.
