How do I get a video on to Microsoft Powerpoint 2003?

Question Details:

I am trying to put a video on to Microsoft Powerpoint 2003, and I found how to put it on, but when i view the slide show and click it to make it play, you can't see the video. It just goes black. You can still here the sound but you can't see the video.

Answer:

Usually, the closer your movie matches the PowerPoint slide area you want to fill, the better it will play.

We suggest to download MPEG StreamClip to see if you can convert it into something more friendly to PowerPoint. You can resize it, choose multiple codecs, compression settings, all for free. The main reason a video on a PP slide won't work is that it must be shrinked to fit the page better.

Details on how to insert a video in a Powerpoint presentation can be found here.
