A few days ago while attempting to reformat my internal computer hard drive I accidentally deleted and reformatted my external USB Seagate hard drive. I had some very important files on the external drive that I need to get back and everyplace that I have called so far has said that the starting price to even take a look at it would be $500.

I do not have that kind of money and would wish to know if there was any way that I could possibly recover the data on my own or possibly have a cheaper means of recovering the data.
