I have a laptop that is a couple of years old. It has a intel celeron. My question is: when I watch video whether its streaming or on my local drive after about a min a fan or something comes on and the playback begins be choppy.

Probably the CPU is getting too hot and starts to fail, that's why the videos are choppy. We suggest to take the laptop to a repair center to clean the fans.
