I have an older computer in my daughters room, and when I turn it on most of the time it doesnt come on. The monitor will. Sometimes the tower will. If the tower doesnt before the monitor it wont at all. When I have gotten it on, I tried to leave it on and that didnt work cause it turned off on it's own. It's always worked liked this as long as my family has had it so I dont know how it was before or what happened to make it like this. I just wondered if it was a quick fix or something or something expensive so I knew to keep it or get rid of it.

There is not an easy fix to this problem. The problem you are experiencing can be caused by:

- a bad power supply, or a bad cooler for the power supply.
- a bad motherboard
- your computer is overheating ( try to clean it inside, clean the fans)
- your Windows is damaged. Try to reinstall it.
