You can use for the primary partition 10-20GB for your operating system and other software.
The second and third partition you should choose as you like: for example 30GB and 30GB( if you choosed 20GB for the primary).

The partitions should both be formated as NTFS, because they are more stable and error free.

If you are using Windows Vista the first partition which should be arround 25 GB.
